The National Convention of Gospel Choirs and Choruses (NCGCC) is the influential nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving, promoting, and advancing gospel music. The primer gospel music organization globally, the NCGCC has been a driving force behind recognizing and celebrating gospel music as a significant cultural and musical heritage.
Since our founding by Dr. Thomas A. Dorsey in 1933, the NCGCC has been pivotal in developing and popularizing gospel music as a distinct genre. We have contributed to gospel music's enduring popularity and influence within the church and the broader music industry by showcasing its diversity and artistry excellence. Today, we remain committed to nurturing intergeneration gospel musicians, performers, choirs, choruses, aspirants, enthusiasts and leaders.

NCGCC Mission is to foster and nurture an appreciation for gospel music excellence. We fulfill our mission through performances, training, and related activities. Through our voluntary global fellowship, we:
- Educate those who perform gospel music to manifest and demonstrate the essence of sound business and performance with high standards of excellence in keeping with the long tradition of the gospel music founders.
- Restate the vast difference between divinely inspired songs and other music genres.
- Expand the horizons of gospel music into other culturally diverse environments.
- Promote interdenominational fellowship amid its affiliated entities.
