FOSTERING AND ADVANCING AN APPRECIATION FOR GOSPEL MUSIC THROUGH PERFORMANCE.
The National Convention of Gospel Choirs and Choruses, Inc., founded by Dr. Thomas A. Dorsey, “Father of Gospel Music,” convenes annually in a different city for its convention. The week-long event consists of daily classes, workshops, and plenary sessions featuring world renowned musical artists and guest speakers, nightly concerts, and a host of other activities. There’s something for all ages and for anyone who desires to gain or advance their appreciation for Gospel Music. 

MISSION & VISION​

We fulfill our mission through performances, training, education, and related activities. Through our voluntary global fellowship, we'll:
  • Educate those who perform gospel music to manifest and demonstrate the essence of sound business and performance with high standards of excellence in keeping with the long tradition of the gospel music founders.
  • Restate the vast difference between divinely inspired songs and other music of the twenty-first century.​
  • Expand the horizons of gospel music into other culturally diverse environments.
  • Promote interdenominational fellowship amid its affiliated entities.
